The Middle Class

My thoughts for this day April 15th 2014

 The Middle Class

 
It's April 15th did your heart
skip a beat,
the deadline is here
have you accepted defeat?
You put it off for
as long as you could,
is the all mighty dollar
gone for good?
All your overtime
and hard earned sweat,
the governments owns
never forget.
I know you held on
and hoped for deductions
if you don't pay up
you'll suffer repercussions.
Penalties and fines you
cannot pay,
where is the American
dream today?
We lost it through leadership 
we trusted that failed,
paid out the a$$
but politics prevailed.
The war is not over
it's never to late,
let your voice be heard
negotiate.
April 15th will 
come again,
as 2015 comes rolling
in.
Cast your ballet
because someone like you,
somewhere out there
is voting too.
There's power in numbers
and it starts with one,
let the middle class
sing when the battle is won!

Taxes will always be with us. Unfortunately, special interests have invaded the tax laws and therefore, resulted in unfair taxes for most in the middle-of-the-road will have to bear the burden for the tax breaks for the rich and the programs for the poor like Medicaid which is growing.

Thoughtful poem for this time of year. Yes Kathy I hear you loud and clear. But the feds want to tax the American people to the max! What I think would be fair for all is a easy to understand, flat tax! Amen!
