Put yourself in the shoes of a commander-in-chief. The way it is, our president is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't. Thousands of US citizens die every day from violent crimes to simple accidents. Some people, like those in the clutches of ISIS, like the accidents that happen every day in our country, end up in unfortunate situations. Some of these deaths cause outcry, but most don't… Just a part of life.

Why would the president risk thousands of lives by acting rashly in revenge, when he needs the consensus of the people, and Congress, before he moves ahead to the next step. Revenge is a powerful force that reaches across generations. People do not forget who killed who and will carry a grudge for very long time. I'm glad we have a smart, competent man at the helm of our military, taking care of business when it comes to terrorists every day and not launching us into military, boots on the ground initiatives with every a little uprising or terrorist action taking place in the world. His biggest concern is attacks like 9/11. He must keep them at bay by doing things we will never hear of until they are over.

Much harder than you think. If W and his necon cronies hadn't got us involved where we didn't belong, we wouldn't have the mess we have today. Obama is right in not putting boots on the ground. This country can ill afford another war.

It's funny that they would hide their identities when beheading innocent people. If they were so brave, why do they cover themselves from head to toes? I don't agree to murdering innocent people. Today's victim was only 31 years old. My heart goes out to his parents and family!!! Must be very heartbreaking moments for them now.

I personally don't give a fig if some innocents are killed along with the maggots who are playing the game like they are supreme. And they are. Have we tried to kill "any" of the ones who are cutting the heads off of Americans. Don't think so.

The problem with terrorists is that they hide themselves among innocent do their damage. If they would come out liKe a regular army and fight it would be easier. If we kill civilians by mistake in;. trying to root them out, we get accused of committing atrocities. Also, a significant portion of the people over there support them and give them aid and shelter.It ;s never as easy as it looks to us. Personally,I think they are just a bunch of cowardly bandits with a hateful ideology, but how do you get rid of them without BECOMING them??? Lots of prayer needed.
