i love you first understand this simple phrase while you occupy the state of a victim mentality would give a different meaning and perspective whence coming from a place of power, strength, and love instantly you'd feel the distinctness between the two i love you first spoken in a different manner through another state of consciousness the intentions are distinguishable, nonidentical it's as if it is being spoken by two different people but it is- of the same soul one who continually chooses to stay resurrect oneself in a place of magnificence, beauty, command, and authority over his own inner world i love you first when uttered from a place of need feels confining and in pieces shattering, toxic but to the one who speaks those words from a place of wholeness its impact can be felt even has the capablity to plant good seeds make others feel empowered so dear, it's up to you how you'd say it to your brother and from which state you'd like to interact with the world.

It's not a competition who loves who first. I think you size that up nicely at the end. Leaving it up to the lover to decide how love should be shown.

Bearing of the soul piece of writing. Takes courage to lay it all out there. Such a phrase you've explored: i love you first. A piece of wording that affords multiple interpretations, a challenge I look for in free-form poetry. Well done.
