Coughing Fit
Please come to your daughters funeral
She finally blew up
There are pieces of her all over the floor
and her brand new trach flew halfway through the wooden door
Her coughing and hacking no medicine could cease
And now there’s a new landmark I heard her lungs are in a big field in Valise
Her arms and legs are scattered across three states
Her nose has landed a top the golden gates
For one little girl with a really bad cough,
who would have known how far her body parts could take off
Across the country, around the globe,
that poor little girl with the runny nose
The tiny stitches that held her body together
could not stand the wind and the weather
So after months and months of searching high and low
With ten man teams looking through ten feet of snow
Her body parts are all stitched back together
So as I said before please attend your daughter’s funeral
It’s this Saturday the 10th of November
