Christmas Frost
What a beautiful December morning
with frost that covers the land.
The sun peeks out and sends a cast,
at first light I see first hand.
Frost has that touch of elegance,
something rich that glitters bright.
Or froze to stop and hold in place
beauty peace and sight.
And as the air gets warmer,
the frost will turn and yet.
It beads and rolls from all it touched
and everything is wet.
We find beauty in everything,
but it never stays the same.
Like when frost begins to melt
or the drying of the rain.
So I've learned an easy lesson,
like when frost will come and go.
To look at even the smallest things,
for a moment you can hold.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
