Two outstanding love Birds once I knew,
One named Oge, the other Tese,
both staged a play for a score and three
years, which was watched by no more than few.
Tese the Lover-boy played the part
of an unrepentant devotee
to many a beautiful mistress,
whilst he kept piercing with Cupid's dart;
a faithful heart stricken with distress.
There never was seen a lover so
faithful like Oge, who seeks to throw
away her all for his love unfeigned.
Not even his infidelity
could keep this blind lover-girl restrained
from trying to win his cherished love.
What manner of blind devotion rare
could possibly yield such loyalty?
I must confess that I have never
before seen love so undeserving
for a lover-boy so belligerent.
His pressing desires she keeps serving
cheerfully, with no complaint ever
made of his contemptuous indifferent
attitude to her rare devotion
to utmost and servile affection.
Oh Oge! you are ever ready
to brave towering heights, just to be
with him in times of adversity.
You would also brave the scorching heat
to wait with him in the hellish Sun.
I really must extol in reverent
admiration; your loving kindness
in response to contempt, perfidy,
disdain to a point below his feet.
At your utmost show of affection,
which in a thousand years remains rare
in amazement would a thousand stare.
