Time's Question

The luminous glow
Of the night sky -
The frosted trees
The wind crying
In discordant agony

I walk alone
The ice laden streets
Wondering why
Asking myself,
If there is a meaning

Or are my thoughts
Disturbed
Like fleeting shadows
On windy nights

Rippling across darkening streets?

Trying to escape
Their own corruption
