For those of you that don't remember Robin Adams and I have been at war for about 10 months now. It's taken a lot of patience and patient pushing to get her writing since March of 2004. I had almost given up hope then she posts one today and my only response is a tear jerker with a lot of hidden meanings. Take it at face value because Robin and I won't explain the hidden meanings--they're just too painful.
Fly like birds
With the art of words
In another way
I will play
Sent from above
You are my love
When I can’t cope
You are my hope
I grab the ace
And keep the pace
To stop being numb
The time has come
I helped you stand
By holding your hand
When torn apart
I held your heart
I lift the ban
Wondering if I can
Start to rhyme
One more time
I take your words
And make them birds
I flip them around
And they soar around
I show you how it’s done
Knowing you’ll have fun
Once again in your life
You’ve had to fight for life
You’ve survived more than once
With me by your side more than once
I’m here to help take the pain away
But I can only remind you how to play
That’s why I take your words and flip them around
So you can watch them soar around
So you can remember the way
We always used to play
Before any of those rotten days
Welcome!

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
