I've been trying to catch up on the AuthorsDen Massacre. I missed pieces of it, but when I saw the last one Southern Horizons did this little poem came to mind, so I couldn't resist. Hope everyone enjoys the chuckles it's supposed to give.
It’s nice to see the killing has come to an end
There’s still plenty of authors left in the den
I don’t claim to be one of the best
I just want to be heard, like all the rest
But I still can’t believe they’re all dead
At least Kate’s brain isn’t in her head
I wonder what the scientists will do with it now
Surely they won’t try to put it in a cow
Of course I could see the headlines now
“Mad Cow strikes them all down!”
The subtitle: “’Kate lives’ was scribbled all over town!”
LOL, Living in Canada and seeing this title and then discovering it is connected with the recent killings had me laughing! Mad cow on the loose :-) LOL. .....I'll have to keep this in mind with the return of the serial killer :-) I quite agree.....so many left to kill hehehehe.......but for now I'll behave myself. Great write and I am adding your name and link to this poem with The AD Massacure. Ah Karen nice to see you notice I let everyone come back to life....nothing better then killing twice! :-)

I'm always touched when one reads my work and is inspired to write. No matter the subject..and so when it happens I feel as though I've actually managed to make a difference no matter how minute it may be, next to the monsterous things in this world that really needs to be changed. As one of the dead poets, I found this write highly amusing; but the beauty of Kate's writings is that she brought us back to life at the end! Still, I had it soft compared to SOME of the authors; I only got electrocuted by the Northern Lights! LOL (OW!)
