Deep snow slips
exquisitely limpid
from the overhanging roof
Deep, soft pillow
of sweet, dark dreams
exploding
heavenly diminuendo downwards
into powdered duvet drifts below
Boof! Aah!
The icing cloud erupts
No cymbalic 1812 Overture here:
This snow music
is signed
for the hard of hearing,
muffled sounds sensed
through the
strings of the heart
Moonbeams awake make
silent celestial music;
monochrome fingerprints falling
snowflake on icy silver keys
Noiselessly
the latch turns
as Bearer of a Sealed Scroll
secretly enters

I once went to a disco yrs ago, and felt myself getting pushing around, but not in the usual manner of people trying to get thru...there were alot of hand movements, and arms in the air, but not for dancing......it took awhile to realize, we were in the middle of a party for deaf mutes, and they were all signing to each other, and feeling the music.........
I just loved it!!
music is for us all...........no matter the circumstances!!!

Kate, once again you have penned an extraordinary poetic treasure, my gifted friend. I truly enjoy how you are able to paint such a magnificent picture of winter’s splendor with heavenly divine well-penned and strategically placed elaborate words and descriptive phrases throughout your work. The first time I read one of your timeless compositions, it was obvious you held a magical quill, and you have yet to slide from the top of the mountain. I hope you never do either, for you continue to shower the world with outstanding poetry that is second to none. Thank you for sharing it. Take care and be well.
