Yes, I know... I can't quite figure it either: how this quote from Odia Ofeimun's poem "Creativity" inspired this write?!
"Seeking balance to troubled ecology
we defeat death by living
beyond the claims of matter."
MAKING MUSIC
You enter me like a cathedral.
I am hallowed space –
always a virgin, every time:
each love-canvas pure vellum;
emotional palette pristine, vibrant;
wholly unadulterated.
The notes of love’s hymn
slide and vibrate
an unsung hidden melody,
sprung from a navel
of spontaneous creation,
skin lubricating skin.
That special kiss of tender flesh –
the rub of silken underbellies –
ties the slipping over-under
of emotional lovers’ knot.
I speak here of a love
that transcends the claims of matter;
scaling the heights of physicality
it finds heaven at the top:
A spire to love.

Wow sweet Kate this multi layered and multi faceted poem sent shivers down my spine, erotic images racing to my you know what and curioity rushing to my mind all in those four stanzas. this is not a good poem it is a great poem and I love it honest to God love it. Well done sweet Kate.

Kate, as two become one and fulfill the requirements of being and sharing “love” rather just “coupling” it truly becomes an opera, my gifted friend. This sensual composition allows the reader to gradually drift into heaven’s utopia where time no longer matters, and where two will enjoy the magnificent montage of magical memories throughout eternity. Thanks for sharing. Take good care and be well.
Entering that higher plane with another soul expands us beyond our wildest dreams. This is wonderful and inspiring, Kate, one to keep for my library to read over and over again.
Take care,

The bliss of heaven transcends all matter and physical love as we know it. The purity of God's love fills us to an understanding of true love which we can never know here on earth. Splendid write Kate. You are becoming a mystic.
