Pursuing my preoccupation with pulp detection... K xx
HOW THE CRIME IS SOLVED
I have an eye for detail,
can pick it up like dust on my fingertip.
And a nose for shame, its pheromones
like the scent to a dog of a bitch on heat.
I can hear the shape of pain, spherical like a ball
kicked from nervous foot to shaking hand, or square
like the covert mind which reasons into boxes,
forcing the truth.
So… slowly I smile in the face of guilt
triumphantly mouthing the sound of its name.
No doubt your depth of acumen is exceeded only by your astuteness...you keen and crafty lady you! Your last stanza softens the starkness of the others and brought a great big grin to my face. If men truly understood women's intuition, they would know that it is not that we are unaware of what they are up to, it is just that we are giving them pleanty of rope with which to hang themselves.(giggle)oops...did I just let the cat out of the bag? ;)
Take care,
Sherry
Pheromones, yikes, so that's the ancient secret, at long last revealed to us blokes... Again thinking outside the square.
Now when I see you smile I'll blush with guilt, for no reason...
Like Agatha Christie only cuter with a much nicer smile you write of crime with a passion to put Sherlock to shame. Well done Sweet Kate I enjoyed this one a lot.
