O Wonderful traveler of the night Your soothing, calming, gentle light Enchanting, heavenly, lovers delight The stars just twinkle but you glow You make the sea tide ebb and flow And cool the winds that gently blow Your beauty in a circle caught Inspires poets-lost in thought A World without you will be naught Oh Moon! The beauty you diffuse The grateful Earth will always use Yourlustrous beams-and darkness lose You're just a rock some now explain Pock marked and barren your terrain Stark and sterile your domain But to me you'll always be A pleasing site for all to see Glowing, smiling- and Heavenly.

The moon certainly is, a beautiful, heavenly sight. And it serves all the creatures on the earth in myriad ways, especially during the time of darkness at night, away from the blinding brightness of the sun, our heat and light source. For the moon would not be so ethereal bright if it didn't have the sun's brightness to reflect.
