IF ever I had a country
And if ever I were the Treasury Secretary
I'd outlaw all big-time " companies " who beg for money
Especially those who beg in the name of the Almighty
I'd write virulent circulars on how to cajole Him through litany
To wheedle trillions of dollars euros yuans rupees throughout Eternity
That is, if ever I were the Treasury Secretary
And even if I never ever had no country
XVI
IF ever I had a country
And if ever I were the Minister of Finance
I'd make every charitable organization head dance
On a tight rope stretched from here to comeuppance
For wasting nearly all what we give them on bribes penthouse mags and stamps
And take them on a tour of the streets and hovels littered with hungry children and tramps
That is, if ever I were the Minister of Finance
And even if I never ever had no country
Hello Ron, the Minister of Finance! I'm with you here and all the way as I was with the hopping robin comment, for which this's my feel: Cerpico Poiea <cinnakk33.gmail.com>

Your comment, Ron, is a poem in itself: poignant, nostalgic and unpretentious. You are - really, not returning compliments in a mutual admiration club courtesy circle - a gifted prose "plume". I enjoyed the way your thoughts synaesthetically. The only thing that keeps me aghast when I read your comments: WHERE and HOW you find the time to do so! Thanks again. Have a merry and haute cuisine JULY 4th dinner! Every good wish. (I'd like to post this response so that others, too, can see it, but the web restricts it: NO GO!)
If I were the Minister of Finance, I would certainly eliminate political action groups (PACs). For all they do is suck up money to pay all of the people they hire to suck up more money and to pay people to write articles and stories clearly designed to pitch their point of view and to spend more and more money on political campaigns that now are determining who wins office. Not a willingness to serve the country. No, not that. But the one who has gathered the most money up around him/her, giving the appearance of wealth, and thereby leadership?
All About how Lila chooses how to handle her "worries" about the first day of school. Another Mom's Choice Award Seal of Excellence recipient in the "Kids with Worries" book series.
Gemma succeeds in starting a girls' football team at her new school, but bitter rival Tyrone does everything he can to stop the girls playing. So begins a battle of wits between the girls and boys, and also between Gemma and sports teacher, Mrs Lawfo
Little Z is a little person who feels lost and alone. Will he be able to focus and gain control to find his way and find the friends he wants to have? Read this short but very sweet story to find out what happens next.
