Genghis Khan was not "Black" when he encountered the Europeans across the Danube, nor were the folk all along the Silk Road he trampled "Black". When Alexander the Macedonian entered the Indian sub-continent through the North-West Frontier Region, west of the Hindu Kush, 2500 years ago, he was dazzled by the white-skinned (and blue-eyed) sovereigns he conquered. Witness the white-skinned Punjabis of today. Alexander left behind whole hordes of his own people to manage the satraps he created - the same people of a less than white-hue who have been granted Greek citizenship by contemporary Greek governments. Likewise the Iberians (Portuguese and Spaniards bastardized by the Moors, Jews and other North African-Maghrebins) who assaulted the Arabian Sea Indian Coast (and the Mayan, Incan and West Indian lands) were not exactly "opposites" that you claim. The only conquerors who came overland from the East during WWII found their way barred by Gurkha Chindits who were brown to yellow in hue.
In my COPLAS, I'm making out another case altogether which seems to escape your simplicistic view of "opposites". The only true opposites sketch themselves in the gender divide: MALE (hard) and FEMALE (soft) though the thin "blue-line" on the upper-lip of the latter makes the difference sometimes indistinguishable. Mille pardons in the name of pulchritude! Hence the Mongols were not arguably non-white, Lord Sir Ron!

Opposites attract. Nature's way of creating stronger strains of DNA, often with mating rituals that are quite violent. According to the theory usually proved in nature, all the gene selfishly does is try to procreate and take over new territory. So the bad guys generally win.
When we find the tyrannical leaders of early civilizations doing all the impregnating, they learned from the leader of the pack. Already implanted in their brain. Tender damsels swoon over bad guys and have their kids to nurture. Genghis Khan comes to mind. But there were many others, including the kings of Israel. No conqueror was immune to dallying with his conquests. And so it continues like your poem. Bad guy genes are carried by us all.
