The day now gone was long before another day's tomorrow,
full of all the wonderment a life could live to follow,
with plans and dreams of many things we thought we'd long to see,
filled to brims among the whims in all our fantasies.
Yet alas as time held fast reshaping our perceptions,
came and went the day now gone in yesterday's reflection.
