Poem Artwork

Looking through my frost filled window
I get a different view
Every inch of every yard is twisted all askew
Looking through my life
I've had many different views
Things that now seem twisted by a young naive fool

Artificial visions set before my willing eyes
Reminds me of a different world with artificial lies
Artificial dreams wearing those artificial smiles
Like looking out this glass at this frozen artificial twisted sky

Here I sit and appellant to the higher court
From the things in ones life that I did resort
Gazing out at the fictitious crazy world outside
Letting things I’ve seen float about throughout my mind

Looking through my frost filled window
I get a different view
Every inch of every yard is twisted all askew
Looking through my life
I've had many different views
Things that now seem twisted by a young naive fool

Dear Theresa,

Thought provoking write, how often do we have these visions set before us, and are gullible enough to fall for them time and time again.

Warm hugs

Theresa, this is an excellent thought-provoking poetic composition. Hopefully as we gracefully age we are finally able melt through the frost and see beyond the artificial trappings, which often times strangle us to a point of non-functioning, and/or questioning what we are ready knew was true. Thank you for sharing your work. Take care.

When one is young, things always seem a bit twisted, but as we age it all seems to take on a view of extreme clarity.
