As I approach the crossroads between life and death. I turn around and gaze upon my life. Did I as a proclaimed Christian walk as a hypocrite. Did I go out and party with my friends? Only then to turn around on any given Sunday. Fully expecting my lord to forgive me. Did I help others through out the years of my life? Or once a year reach out in charity to help another. Was it me who disregarded what my heart knew? I look across the road to the uncertain path after death. Is it a reward that waits for me across the road? Or is a penance of chains of regret hanging on a post. Waiting for me to pass through the crossroads. To hang upon my back as a garment for eternity. As I approach the crossroads I will look both ways. Then turn around and gaze upon my life.

powerful lesson in this well written piece. we don't have to wait until the crossroads...we can do it now, before it is to late, and repent to God and ask forgiveness to our friends for our shortcomings. BRAVA!
