Yes! I am sitting here impatiently
Watching the snail-vine twist about
The trellis seems to be aged, bending
Spider webs float in the wind upon it
I wonder what it must have looked like
You know back when someone placed it
There in the garden now over grown
Paint is chipping off it but I see character
Bowing in the middle from carrying weight
It seems as though it will fall to the grass
But the bright green vines hold it in place
They caress and love it almost like a lover
I drift off past the vines to the dancing web
A lone spider repairs the netting knitting
Precise and intricate this lace shimmers
The trellis is their personal private planet
I feel as though I am a trespasser into their
Ever changing melodrama, me the giant peeks
Do they know or care that I watch their life
I wonder who watches mine, impatiently?
I'm too much of a realist and cynic to worry about if "they" know they are being watched and written about, but I am enough of a romantic to absolutely llove this poem of nature's voyeurism.
The observer becomes the observed.....:D
The spider weaves his web with consummate precision and skill...nothing is left to chance, and all the devices are primed and ready for use...
Theresa, we can learn so much from nature, and just by being in the eternal flow of the Universe we can achieve all our aims and aspirations.

Interesting ending question to an experience of where the mind wanders as it observes life as it is.
This is a fantastic poem TJ! Those last few lines really make it soar! I love the descriptive work ,like a word painting, the images are great!Good to read you again!
The most important thing is that you have observed the spider's and you see that it's repairing its web. What skills it takes for the spider! Sometimes, it does need a good observer to appreciate what the spider has weaved.
