Laying here in the sunset I watch the red rocks
The heat from the red sand sprays across my flesh
Perhaps it will sand away the lines of time I bare
The wind carries with it a drum beat my heart
This place seems to call back a different time
The heat and the sands touch put me to slumber
Drifting away the cares of life blow off to the desert
Once there the red sand will disburse it to memory
For another to pick up off in the distance of reality
Nice poem,
Beautiful energy.
It reminds me of the red rocks of Arizona. They inspired me when I saw them, as they apparently have done the same for you.
Thanks for reading my poetry and the nice comments.
Blessings,
Judith
Very beautiful nature and earth piece
While reading it I felt like
I was laying and taking in the beauty of
The sunset and admiring the red rocks and red sand
This poem felt very inspiring to me!!

Nooo, keep the flesh bare, just gimmie directions... fun fun fun in the sun sun sun... Kewl write, but be proud of every line. If yer wanna hit 100, you must get past 25 first...
...beautiful thoughts are written here...giving sand softness...and the desert timelessness...both of which I have also known.
thank you...

Hi Theresa,
Beautiful picture, beautiful poem..great combination to warm up a fellow poet who is in upstate New York on a frosty afternoon. Thank you so much for your personal sensitivity to your environment. I'm looking forward to reading more of your creativity.
Thanks again,
Jerry Ferguson
