Poem Artwork

It’s been awhile as I sit and stare at the keys
I wonder what now will peek it’s head in word
Still seems I sit down then words just spill out
I waited months upon months perhaps a year

Not writing I sat to see what had died within
But here I am and words spill forth just as before
Some meaningless some with worth my mind shares
Yes the mind and the muse touch and dance again

Sitting in opposite sides of my brain they winked
Looking across cobwebs and visions they touched
Now here I am again putting forth their work
Cobwebs and visions, my mind and muse unite

As I avoided they're calls to each other within crying
My heart and soul became ill almost near dying
So here I am a zombie to their will I type, type
Bringing out on paper and screen the mingling inside

It is near being miraculouse isn't it Theresa..I wonder at it all..I say...thats it I am not writing anymore..I am burnt out....I ignore the call...fight it....then words ramble on and on in my mind until I think I will go mad..I sit at the typewriter...not having an inkling of what I will say...an my fingers move..it is scary....that produces the best writing...then there are the times I WANT to write and I force myself and poduce mediocre writing......we are all alike...us writers...loved this...floria

You express the most dreadful thing that can happen when a writers creative spirit is stilled. Well done!
