Work of Art

I will paint you
the color
of my tears
drawn upon the canvas
of my pain
black-smudged sorrow
a backdrop
to scarlet droplets
of loss
splattered atop
torturous white lines
of truth
swirled into smeared
indigo pools
of despair
to disappear
into a meaningless
mosaic of stains
upon a filthy
discarded
dropcloth
