Mind is but a Floating Orb !

Gut-wrench; but is it?
Feelings knotted inside of me,
fallen by the wayside,
I see myself lying in a heap.
Frantic questions within my mind,
could it be me that I see?
or a sad reflection of how
wasted I really feel.
Mind a whirlpool of confused
and fractured thoughts,
casting shadows upon my being.
I walk in darkened alleys,
traversing within myself,
reaching out to touch reality
a mere illusion deceiving me.
Grasping at fleeting glimpses,
of streaky flickers of eluding light.
Mind is but a floating orb !
wandering in forgotten realms,
quite easy to lose myself,
in a foreign plane:
