Transient the Journey

I once thought it wrong to feel this way,
to love another in a passionate way,
emotions so strong, almost surreal
you led me to planes afar.
Traveled places of cosmic fields,
took me thru unchartered lands,
taught me a language foreign and new,
showed me crevices, revealed the flicker,
drifted on the magic of soft cotton clouds,
floated on the wings of a voiceless breeze,

I once thought it wrong to think this way,
to think of someone other than him,
thoughts so virtuous so unreal,
caressed in your arms but only in mind,
Intoxicating pleasures on milky ways,
contentment fulfilled on novel ground,
spoken in silence barriers surpassed,
incandescent the light within my soul,
recumbent retreat welcome relief,
levitated to a soundless sentient realm.

Elga...this is wonderful poem...filled with mystique while at the same time expessing romance...your poem justifys the right to fantasize about the what ifs of life and turn them into a beautiful and romantic keeper...Brava...Fletcher B

Well, I may be flogged here but I love this poem and the intent. For me, I see a love that was there anyway, before time began, soul-mates if you will. Time/Space travel to be together. Love transcends all of this time, travel, dreams, planes etc. Brava Poet! I love it.
