She Contemplates...

So much pain she hides within,

She's numb to life and everything,

No joy you see upon her face,

Eyes so hollow, so out of place.

Why is it she cannot find,

Some pleasure, a little peace of mind,

Hurt within this lonely heart,

Where does it end, or start ?

The love that had once burnt so strong,

left her feeling that she'd done wrong,

Fears she hides within her soul,

A gaping wound, a mammoth hole.

Cries are silent and tears run wild,

Her heart which was deceived by guile,

Strange ideas she contemplates,

To leave behind these sad heartaches.

You've captured the mood of a place that sadly most of us have visited. Again, great art as well, Elga.

A vividly powerful and emotional write, Elga; and a situation that sadly many members of both sexes have found themselves in.

Lost Love can truly be earth and heart shattering.

Elga, this magnificent piece of poetry and artwork themselves are absolutely priceless! The subject is an extremely important one, and cannot or should not be overlooked! Unfortunately far too many trails and tribulations follow ones journey throughout ones life. I know it doesn’t make it any easier to recovery from yet, it is not something one cannot recover from and become stronger. I am sure there are many willing and able to help. After all, we are no longer living in the stone age. One can and will survive this situation, knowing that they are never alone my friend. Thank for sharing your brilliant mind and priceless work. Take care and be well.

Elga,
Loneliness of love gone wrong is truly heart-wrenching. Wouldn't it be great to possess the touch to heal every broken heart? One thing for sure, we would never be out of work. Beautiful and sad write.

No, No!! Don't do it!! Hope will return and there will be a new tomorrow - honest! Just responding to the evocative, moody and beautiful picture, Elga - and your words, too, are so moving. Numbness is the body's natural self-protective reflex, but I think your heroine already is starting to sift and search and evaluate... the first steps on a road to recovery from one of life's "falls". The road to "success" is paved with such stepping stones and we rise each time fitter and stronger. Contemplation works through to resolution; there can be no proper closure if we instead "close-down". May the voice here find the strength and courage to bravely move on... See how drawn in I have become to your subject?! Very well-written, Elga. TY Kate xx

Elga this is a deeply moving poem so accurately depicting the heartbreak one feels at the end of a relationship. I don't there is a worse feeling than feeling you have been betrayed by the one you love. Anguish and emptiness abounds and you feel as though you will never recover. Take hope my friend. If you read my poem 'Illumination' there is a hidden message of hope. I know that you will see it. Take it from someone who has been there and lived to tell the tale.
Your poetry is superb friend! You are such an inspiration.
With love Chanti
