Friends

It takes your enemy and your friend, working together, to hurt you to the heart;
the one to slander you
and the other to get the news to you.

Mark Twain (1835–1910)

 Mills of Silent Churning

Be there tears beneath the lashes
of this bitter encountered moment
her core that was taken
through mills of silent churning.

Fears like lightning skies
seize the pained expression
Thunder rolls across the spheres
then permeate the barrier

As she lay there quite reposed
in a silent scented vale
where merry men did bestow to her
their sultry gifts afore them,

Then, with  sudden self-reproach,
she awoke the knowledge fair
deep in contemplation, realizing
why lady !
bounders are but many !

Dear Sherry,

Yes amethyst, but associated with the 6th Chakra "Brow" or "3rd eye". Which would also explain the ending

Warm hugs

Elga...I won't pretend I understand all of this poem. All I know
is that it is tightly written, rolls along the reader's mind in
smooth transition, and has all the elements one would expect in
verse by a fine poet.
I would have liked to know "for sure" what the "Mills Of Silent
Churning" are. Your poetry intrigues me.
