Romantic Mist

A steady downpour of gentle rain,
I'm lost in thought, at a window pane,
overcast, grey skies no blue I see,
droplets fall from branches of trees.

My mind wanders, and scenes I create,
your image my thoughts, they infiltrate,
yearning for you, in realms so vast,
thoughts profound ... unsurpassed.

Our bodies embracing and we gracefully greet,
rose petals strewn, on soft silken sheets,
warm loving kisses, our souls are on fire,
this passionate moment is what we desire.

Fragrance radiating from this romantic mist,
no longer will you and I, further resist,
body heat exuding from you and me,
we loose ourselves in this sensuality.

I like the rain imagery. But then, I'm always a sucker for a nice rain poem. Rain and romance go together rather well, don't you think?

Nice pic. Reminds me of when I used to see my wife in her frilly undergarments and it led to a sex capade. The poem was nice also, lest I get carried away.
