One requires the "Art of Heart" to learn to forgive, when people say they "forgive" someone, do they really understand what forgiveness truly means ? I was astounded with the depth of the meaning of forgiveness !

Heart of Forgiveness
We stride in steps of forgiveness, but is it understood that to forgive is to put aside the wrongs that were done to you ?
To forgive is to pardon, comments that have been voiced. To realise the anger, that is buried within yourself.
To learn to stop the resentment for behaviour that was out of place. It's the ability to pardon and excuse, the wrongdoings and mistakes.
Those subtle misunderstandings, or those acts of inappropriateness. the wisdom to bear no grudges to show mercy and be compassionate.
The art of benevolence, the aptitude of forbearance, the desire for lenity and tolerance, and the sapience to know the difference !

Beautifully done. Forgiveness is often so misunderstood. You have captured the essence of it so well.

Elga, this touched me in a very deep and private place. I am struggling with forgiving my mother and even myself for what could have been and wasn't and never will be. You've imparted tremendous sagacity with HEART OF FORGIVENESS in a most beautiful and graceful voice. Do you mind if I print this out to hang near my computer? It will proudly display your name on it.
This is a touching and inspirational write, Elga. Forgiving is a life-lesson in progress. Some things are easy to forgive, others, require much more introspection and discipline to forgive completely. We must free ourselves of fear in order to learn to forgive.

One said this week to think on this if we look over in heaven gate we see a person we have had trouble with. Are we going to give up on heaven if they are there. I think not and this is the measure of forgiveness.
Elga this is exactly what forgiveness is, but far to few understand it or are capable of it on their own. We need the help of Creator to really forgive in this way. A beautiful inspired write of wisdom!
