He works tenaciously to keep us shod

Tirelessly strengthening the heels and soles of our shoes

The longest journey begins with a single step

Watch you don't trip, don't let pride get in your way

Always show respect, you've never worn his sandals

 

The rich and the poor all come knocking at his door

We are all on the level, he treats each as his own

Leather and plastic, suede and canvas

Material ingredients to carry us far

The cobbler is professional in all his ways

Honestly rendering to all a full measure

 

Wise are his words, clear is his vision

His harvest is full, reaped from close observation

Working proficiently to deliver his wares

Steady and methodical he gets his work done

Raising the bar, he strives for perfection

Passing his knowledge to conscientious apprentice

His labours are never finished till sun goes down

He sleeps in full knowledge he's gave his all
