It seems many of us are writing of the dichotomy we are socially experiencing at an algae-bloom rate and magnitude.

They may be living right next door -- Yet their differences could not be more. ~~ djl

So true. On the right I have Filipino microbiologist and his Mexican lover. Nice guys but I don't travel in their circle. On the left I have a widow of Chinese/Vietnamese heritage with her lawyer son. She only talks to my partner in Vietnamese. Across the street, the black family is the most helpful and generous whenever I'm in need.

Truly a very mixed neighborhood like you imply in your words and artistry.
