Somewhere in the world
there's a child without a mother
a sister lost without her brother
an orphan and a widow all alone
When the lightning strikes
so close to home
you feel the numbness
nothing but just oneness
as you question any reason
Are we in this all alone
but there's tomorrow
yeah tomorrow
the only hope we know
the only way to live
to grow
Tomorrow
Yeah tomorrow
for all our goals
and fragile dreams
there's nothing
in this world it seems
but to live today
and to move on toward tomorrow
There's a boy who cries tonight
with his dad who weeps inside
both trying to be strong
trying to move on
And they sit in quiet reflection
of the woman that they loved
silently they curse the stars
and shout to god above
And they wonder why the lightning
struck so close to home
They can only feel the numbness
inside each others oneness
while they question all the reasons
but they're not in this all alone
'cause there's tomorrow
yeah tomorrow
it's the only hope they know
the only way to live
to die to grow
I couldn't get past line 4 without breaking down. A poem that sensitively expresses grief in the most profound way. 'They can only feel the numbness inside each others oneness' is the most incredible line. A perfect description of how it feels.

Excellance in a poem that ponders and reflects the sadness of today as tempered by the hope for tomorrow. Well done Edwin and good to see you posting again.
Tomorrow is the essence of hope and the root of today's objectives. I will plant the seeds in my garden today, with a vision of lush plants offering bountiful fruits for my table in one of my tomorrows. There are always variables so there is a possibility that my vision won't be realized, but today, as I plant, I hope. This is a sad and beautiful offering, Edmund. Sometimes it is difficult to embrace what whe have already been granted and to find the lesson in painful situation.
Take care,
Sherry

Yeah. There's. Tomorrow. The perseverance of the human spirit, even through untold suffering to awake to a brand new, and the possibility a healing day, is chronicled throughout the ages . . . None better than this poem .
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
