Pleasure and pain by the "Divinals" inspired this poem

Blood


 


 


Love is really like -


Oozing blood


Dripping through our fingers


Never enough -


A stab through the heart.


 


Within the lure of illusion -


Ecstasy pools the senses


 Crashing into our reaches


Then for a while -


Our fears evade us.


 


The reality is a gaping wound


Spewing out pain


No escape


We’re caught in its grip


Wasted fools - victims of lust.


 


Woe betide the fool then -


That


Engulfs the taste


Once beguiled - bewildered  


We’re snared -


Its the timeless trap.
