Hmmmnnnnn.....

Flaming rays break the dark with a silence deep as stone

light dispels the macabre shadows and leave the sky alone

glorious colours float and dance to natures God of  all that’s new

a wonderful refreshing miracle born like drops of mountain dew

was dawn planned to greet the weary soul and offer daily hope

was it something mankind needed to help the broken hearted cope

what of the sunsets fire and brimstone image going down in flames

bringing with it empty solitude, the time to sleep, forgo the games

like a predator of the night who must sleep when sun does bloom

was this part of the master plan where some of us  fear not the gloom

what of love and sex and lust, that once hid controlling of the night

no longer prisoners of natures clock they tread boldy in plain sight

what dribble quote this man. low bred. not learned as poets go

I quote my mind, from soul released, heart open for the show

now as the clock the morn moves on I return to my blackened den

to sleep, to dream, to lust to love, until the night harkens once again.

Felix, I take it you must be feeling better.
Simply outstanding writing. Imagery was perfect, to connect the reader to the feelings.
Enjoyed!

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
