I Went To Bed Alone Last Night


 


 


I went to bed alone last night


So I could clear my mind


I went to bed alone last night


To listen and to find


 


A way to reconcile my sins


To make things right again


I went to bed alone last night


To ease away the pain


 


Were you wrong was I right


Does it really matter any how


I went to bed alone last night


I’m sorry for it now


 


I tossed and turned all night


Sleep always out of sight


I went to bed alone last night


I was there at morning light


 


Though she was at my side


We were a million miles apart


I went to bed alone last night


Now I don’t know where to start.

Being alone is one of the worst feelings that we can have. And yes, we can be together and yet feel alone at the same time. Some will never lose the feeling. Powerful write. Karen

The saddest type of lonliness happens when you are not really alone. It is easy for me to be alone and not feel lonely but when I am beside someone with whom I am miles apart, it is a lonliness that aches all the way to the marrow of my bones. This is a wonderful write, Felix.

Felix, She wasn't that far away...She loves you, and although there may have been a lull in speaking moments..it doesn't mean you were ever alone.
You are way to charming for one to let much space take up too much time.

It's a lonely day in hell when we go to bed by ourselves and as you know, there are times when we are alone in that bed, even though our spouse is sleeping next to us. Sometimes I think that's the worst feeling in the world.
