Musing...

She Came Between Us Again Last Night

She came between us again last night

I could not turn from her away

She came between us again last night

I couldn’t help but let her stay

She came between us in our sleep

I reached out but touched not you

She came between us again last night

I didn’t know what else to do

She came between us again last night

In the morning hours you slept serene

She came between us again last night

The sweetest dream there’s ever been

She came between us again last night

Took her from her crib when I heard her little cry

She snuggled in between us again last night

As this Boppa’s heart ached with love I breathed a sigh

I just knew this was going to be about your granddaughter, Felix. It is impossible to resist their little cries in the night, isn't it? Nothing is quite as warm and cuddly or smells so sweet as a baby and spoiling them is one of life's greatest pleasures.
Take care,
Sherry

The old maternal hormones just RAGE with this one, Pops! Can't get over how, when just such a scenario arises, ALL of love is there, such that it's not just the darling babe who comes in for the luvin gush, but that special man who is part and parcel of life along with her. Nothing... and I mean NOTHING... melts a girl's heart quicker than a man who is doing the loving thing with a wee babe... or am I unusual here?! Anyway... can feel another mega hug comin on, Boppa! You're irresistible when you're in Grandpa mode! LOL Kooky Kate xx

To clarify for those of you who are unaware Boppa is the name my 15 month old Granddaughter calls me.

What a wonderful, irresistible little "intruder"... and it is clear that the "intruded upon" didn't mind it at all, not even for one sweet second! :0)
