Angina attacks I dread but I can live with caue others suffer from far worst then I...

Angina Attack

the pain is back

pressing clamping

holding my heart in a vise

it’s in my arm now

throbbing, pulsing

life of it’s own

moving on

into the jaw now

last warning

nitro

one spray, two spray

no spray more

wait, wait

subsiding now

good it’s over again

Way too scary, Felix. How would you know if what you are feeling is the onset of a heart attack or angina?
Take care,
Sherry

Felix - I know you know your body better than anyone else. So if you think this is more than just a sensation, then I ask you to please go to the emergency room.

The poem vividly portrays the frightening feeling of one's heart trying to beat itself senseless. Be well my friend.

Felix,

This beats with a frenetic terror...I can't even begin to imagine (and wouldn't want to try). Take care, and know you're in my prayers...if you have chest pain, GET TO A HOSPITAL, STAT!!!! Nothing to mess with...if it's just angina, that's much better than a heart attack. Okay????

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

Wow, this is very powerful and scary- writing is the best form of therapy, for me anyway.

Bless you, Felix, and very well done for getting this down and out! You have described well something that sounds excruciating and frightening, but I know that you will overcome these attacks in every which way you can - and your diversionary tactic of writing must be one of the best, making good out of bad. My Mum has angina and I think each has to work out what best suits them to control the symptoms: some "remedies", for example, make her feel worse for longer than the patience and calm of enduring a brief attack! We love you and will pray alongside that you will enjoy your days and not be robbed of the full life that you so revel in and contribute to for the rest of your family - and all of us here, too. I know you will stay cool, calm and relaxed and take all in your stride - which is a major antedote in itself. Be strong and be well - that's not a wish, that's an order!! :)) LOL Kate xx

Felix, this is a very important piece you've written. It's so good to share things like this because it can be so helpful to others. And these are not easy things to share, either. Thanks for your courage!

Felix,
My entire body tensed, as I read this. I have angina myself, so I know the pain, and it's not a pleasant experience.
You take care of yourself, we all need to see that Angel of yours, grow up, and it's through your words we are allowed to do so.

Just a note I just wrote this tonight to try and take my mind off the pain till it went away and it did and yes George I have had three agioplasties with stints done but unfortunately there are some that they cannot do. I do not let it slow me down though at least not in my mind but thank you all for your concern it is appreciated.

Felix - How graphic your words come through! I didn't know you had to put up with this, and now that I do, I demand that you take great care of yourself. We love you and your talent, and look to read your works for more and more decades! Take GOOD care! - Bill
