Tonight I Cried

I thought I had wrote my last poem for the den and my friends when I posted my farewell poem. The requests and responses I received came close to making me want to unplug my computer and walk away from it out of sadness and a strange sense of loss. Last night though an angel from here on the den sent me and email and without mentioning anynames her words broke the dam of sadness I had felt at saying goodbye to you all. Thanks to her help and her words I will be staying...

Tonight I Cried

I wrote my farewell letter, pushed the upload key

It was the last rhyme offering, that you would hear from me

My heart felt kind of heavy and I thought I’ll just get by

Then I read my reviews, and I tried so hard not to cry

I told myself it didn’t matter, I’d be back again some day

Answered all the questions and emails from it that came my way

Thanked them so for caring said I’ll miss you all it’s true

Though I hated to admit it, I didn’t know what to do

Then tonight an angel reached out to me with open heart

She was just one of many who pleaded with me not to part

Like the other offers I turned it down in place of pride

But her words started to haunt me and so tonight I cried

Felix,

I know of those angels...I'm glad you met one. I've met them, too...and you're one of them. Keep writing, my friend!

This is just so beautiful, Felix. Angels abound in this wonderful place! Whole great companies of them... in fact, I reckon we are ALL sprouting wings, the closer we get to each other and to heaven with our transcendent thoughts and feelings! Our companionship with each other is precious indeed and, it is said that, God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform... at times like these it is almost worth the initial pain in order to gain the blessing of having it transformed into something else that is rare and beautiful and of which we may have remained without any knowledge or understanding had it not been for the difficult circumstance that forced the issue. A girl needs her Pops. I am so glad that angels speak! You have a chorus here behind you who agree with her wise words!! :)) Some dams are just made to be broken, causing floods that are very healing. I am in just such a situation myself at the moment... they often come at times of intense vulnerability and make us stronger, not weaker. Now I'M cryin... but with a gentle and soft pleasure, not pain. Bless you and thank you for staying Home Sweet Home xxx K xxxx OOOO xxxxxxx

Thank you Felix, so much for staying. Even tho I have sisters here in AD, I need brothers too. You have been one of those brothers to me, Felix, offering me advice that I have really appreciated so much. If you left, I wouldn't know what to do, because even a brother's advice is as good as a sister's. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, stubborn to a fault, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your still sad and terrified little sister, Barbie

What in the world ever made you think you could leave, Felix? We are writers and we must write; we are family and we must remain in support of each other. I am glad that a gentle hand reached out to you and reminded you that we need you as much as you need us.
Take care,
Sherry

i sent not an email
i sent not a poem
for i too had my pride
and was afraid to let raw emotions roam
but to whoever sent these words to you
who ever was so brave
let them know from me to you
in my heart i too gave
hopes that you would stay
hopes that you wouldn't go
for i have just met you
and I wanted that to show
that you are such a spirit
a guidance to me of hope
you have helped me in ways
to many for me to count, to cope
thank you to her and to you
for staying with us today
and thanks again for sending me
your kind words my way!!!!
