This was a song I had written a long time ago in my youth and after reading it thought it would make a soft lesson to share...

The Answer

No I’ll not say I’m sorry,

Nor expect to hear it from you

I’ll hold out my hand and hope

We can find what’s lost all new

When loving turns to hurting

When hurting turns to hate

There’s one last chance to save it

If too long you don’t wait

Now we can go our separate ways

Let our teardrops say goodbye

Or we can open up our hearts

To give this love another try

I feel your arms around me

I feel you in my arms again

We have work cut out for us

Just to ease each other’s pain!

This is the kind of thing we all should read often to remind ourselves how fragile love truly is.

Do we ever really know what true love is? It would be good if we could all find a partner in life that is our whole life, but not many people are that lucky. Most of us think that we have met Mr. or Miss right, but gradually the feeling leaves and you have to adjust your life to it, and work like crazy to keep it. Very well written. Have a happy Valentines Day. Karen

A lot of wisdom, considering you were young when you wrote this...

You may have written this when you were younger, dear Pops, but it's wisdom and maturity many of us have yet to learn. Such a testimony to commitment - and to the true meaning of an unconditional love that would rather give in than give up. Dealing with one's own pain is one thing... but true love goes the whole hog of forgetting one's own in order to minister into the needs of the other. True love never runs smooth, but anything of value is worth fighting for. So often the easy option is, in the longterm, the false option. Won't spoil the impact of this by watering down it's powerful and poignant message. This shows us what love is - in it's waning moments as well as in it's waxing ones. Gorgeous, bless you - and so hope you are feeling better, Darlin. xx

A poignant poem on lovers who are having difficulties in their relationship. You can take this poem out a hundred years form now and lovers could relate to it. It is an ageless dilemma. Well done Felix.
