Unwanted children pay a heavy price

yes we do Felix, and that is the horror of it all too. I was reading happy poems until I came to this one. This is so sad Felix that adults have to treat children like punchiing bags, or hockey pucks, to be beaten, and sexually abused. I know this all too well Felix, and the pain never, ever goes away. Never.

May the Lord Jesus bless the little children of the world, and provide them safety in their unprovoked plight. May the Lord Jesus take away the pain that children have suffered at the cruel hands of their parents or guardians. Amen.

Amy is right too, it should not hurt to be a child, but it does.

Shattering. When there are so many loving couples who want children and can't have them for one reason or another, there are those who propogate like rabbits and can't care for the ones they bring into the world. There are those who do heinous things to their babies--sexual assault, cutting off their limbs, shaking them, beating them...it makes me sick. Who is going to start speaking for the children and stop giving the abusers a "get out of jail free" card? A powerful, heartbreaking write...very effectively penned. Thank you--

Sadly the world is witness to these atrocities everyday. My dad said it best once. He said anyone who would hurt a child has a yellow streak running down his back. Poor little defenseless babies. This makes me rage when I'm a peaceful person noemally. Thanks for give us another reason to enforce the child abuse laws more strictly.

Your are right on about these things going on. If people don't bellieve it then all they need to do is go to a children's hospital or a children's ward at any large hospital. It is hard to believe the abuse that many numbers of children suffer from adults. No I didn't say parents, they are just using the kids to get money from the government for drugs. I wish that they would have to suffer like the kids do when they are being beaten, starved , sexually abused and rejected. If anyone sees the abuse being done and don't do something about it they are just as guilty as the ones doing it. When I see children that have been abused it almost breaks my heart. If only one person reading this can help one child it will make a difference in their lives. Very good. Karen
