There’s a broke heart yet not healed

A teardrop or two easily revealed

There’s a nip in the air tonight

Missing the way you held me tight.

Heart-tugging indeed! Love the way you couched the subject -- if
that is the way to say it {or half-way?Z} -- in concrete terms.
Weather -- especially rain -- seems to evoke as much longing
as scent --, but then we smell rain before it arrives, right?

A sadness I read in this one....the "nip" can be felt in so many ways!!

I am feeling the autumn beginning to cast it's will upon the summer season, even here in New Mexico. The chile harvest is happening and the grower's markets are filled with the "late in season" fruits and vegetables. The days are growing shorter and the thought of a cold season approaching makes me long to find a warm soul to share the dark and cold months with, also. Lots of excellent visuals in this poem, Felix.

Pity the "Nip" wasn't the sort to make you warm....
