I've been very taken with Susan poems on the topic of Dejavu, and realizing the friendship, it's no surprise to me that her words could inspire you....and all the rest of us who have been reminded by that gentle breeze, that mysterious singling out, compelling magnetism, or that uncanny comfort. Is it real or is it but an illusive love? We all have these feelings and I believe that we all ask ourselves these questions. It feels too powerful, too right, too familiar to be nothing more than an illusion or a dream. Very nice poem, Felix!

I don't know if in fact there are parallel worlds, multiple lives, if there is more than just one dimension of being, if all this is nothing more than the, already identified as a natural process of the mind, phenomenon of "déjà-vu"... and I keep my mind wide open to welcome all further revelations or discoveries that will lead us to a better understanding of the universe and, thus, of ourselves. But I do know that what you describe in this gorgeous poem does happen, sweet Fee; not frequently - actually, and sadly, it never happens to many - but, when it does, the feeling is so amazing, and the sense of fulfillment is so complete, so deep, that we can hardly find words or concepts which will describe or explain it. It is, indeed, as if we were experiencing what Plato described as the "reunion of the two halves of what once had been one sole being... and had been slain in two, and the halves separated, by the gods, jealous of the power and joy of such completeness." (See "The Banquet", Plato).

If it's not a dream grab her quick.

The senses, if strong, feel the other many times in century after century. It may be a familiar smell that catches you and causes you to pause, it may be the hairs on your arms and neck stand as the essence grabs the heart as the beat flutters, it could be a thousand people in a train station and the eyes locked and the face lights and the similarities hit a nerve. in passing.So many reasons to believe love lasts through centuries and as you and I...the sameness will always wonder unconditionally. I will treasure this poem for the familiar treasure it sparks.
