Sanity Found In Hell

By: Felix L. Perry

Flares blood red, ignite the sky

Man-made thunder crashes

Small arms deadly fire

Death in valor’s field

Equals stilled desire

Goodbye young Private Johnson

God speed old Sergeant Tom

No time to pray for souls

Carry carnage forward

Politician’s goals

Now the battlefield hushed

Solemn silence like a tomb

Soldier sits upon the rubble

Rests from job of death

Rubs two days of stubble

A sound louder then battle

Pierces silent aching air

The needful cry of child lost

Dig, dig, dig towards sanity

No matter what the cost

There beneath a mother’s body

Like a jewel lost to the world

His arms offer protection

Wiggles, giggles offer hope

Not all is deception

I know this was heart wrenching to put this to paper

A battle to write about this young boy

Fighting the War

I think this War has turn every ones life in

Turmoil!

You did a very good job expressing how sanity is found

But we must have hope and prayed especially for our soldiers!!

Incredible piece of art work so many descriptive and

Heartfelt emotions throughout this page!!

Love And Peace And lots of Hugssssssss...Morning Star

Powerful poem Fee ... with hope at the end... somehow...

'No time to pray for souls
Carry carnage forward
Politician’s goals'
.... sadly, so very true. When will we stop following politician's orders when they are clearly removed from true humanity?

Love to you Felix and your caring, vital heart!

Heartbreaking...but then again, the price of freedom is a terrible cost to pay..................it seems no one wins.

This is awazing and loaded with emotions Fee. You must've been in battle to write the young boy fighting the war. This is amazing and one of the finest.
Love,
Susan
