Sailor’s Passion

By: Felix Perry

Under skies of twinkling Northern lights

On a the mighty great Bra Dor

In a one masted boat we sailed

Till we anchored close off shore

A secluded cove, sweet music

Echoing the waves melodic sound

Two, near naked in the moonlight

Pure Nirvana we had found

We waltzed united on the deck

Fingertips touched fingertips

All movement seemed together

Cheek to cheek and hips to hips

A glass of wine a longing sigh

Our lips seeking passion hungrily

The cool balmy breeze could not appease

What that night was meant to be

On a blanket on the foredeck

As the mermaids sang our song

We made love to last forever

God that memories still so strong

Then as the sun awoke the morning

Holding hands we dove into the sea

To refresh our bodies and our minds

This is how love’s magic ought to be.

Where is this boat? I felt the passion and can see the picture you painted in this beautiful portrait of two lovers yearning each other on the sea shore.

Whenever I read these poems of the sea, I can hear the sound of the swells slapping the bow and feel the hypnotic sway of the ship. I spent a large part of my youth on the sea and living on the shore and these poems bring a peaceful sense to me, as in the way life was back in those more gentle days. Beautiful poem, Felix.
Take care,
Sherry

"This is how love's magic ought to be"... It sure is, and I am FLOORED that my poem could have sparked this epic salty sea-dog sultry sensuality. It totally ROCKS in every sense of the word! Can feel it in the tilt and sway of waves... dreamy, Darlin Felix. I am both honoured and flattered: there seems to have been much posted on the Board lately which speaks of one poet's work becoming the inspiration for other writes and works of art, and so the Muse and inspiration carries on like golden links in a creative chain. So I thank you for including me in this one, like loot from a treasure chest... speakin of which, I KNOW the Muse ain't me when you talk of "the mighty great Bra Dor"!!! :)) Now that WOULD be pure fiction!! Ho, ho! Love to you, Great Bear... Aurora Kate xx

Well perhaps their is some truth and real life memories thrown in, I did sail the Bra Dors and I did anchor in a sheltered cove, the rest I must let you wonder...

The pic sets the ideal place for this to happen if you have ever been out on a sail boat. More truth than fiction belies this romantic poem.

This is beautiful, romantic and flows like the romance found in fantasies finds and enjoys love. Romance and passion are two very strong emotions that bursts out of yhis pen. The photograph is the perfect accent to set the movsd. I'm sure sweet Kate is overjoyed as well.

SUsan

Felix,
Throughout our time here in the Den, you've always managed to hold romance to slow burn. Keeping it gentle and passionate.
One of these days I'm going to open your page and you're going to be wild and crazy and I'm going to be in total shock!! *grin*
You have to be one of the most romantic guys in the world! And that? That's a good thing!
