Raining Teardrops On Daisies

By: Felix L. Perry

Shall I call your sweet name

through the pines on the sea shore

look for your image

in the waves ebb and flow

reach for your warmth

in the sunrise of summer

dream of your kisses

till we meet once more

Shall I seek your presence

on the indent of your pillow

feel your warm breath

though I know its not there

read you the poets

sing you my songs

count off my blessings

crosses row after row

Shall I whisper a prayer

to the heavens above

rain teardrops on daises

walk all alone in the night

scour the four corners

of a world no more mine

craving what once was

when I had your love

Losing a love one is very tragic. Depending on the circumstances, if that love is meant to be...you will refind each other. Another wonderful write Fee.

Blub, blub, Pops... This has the epic quality of salty-seadog sea shantys and all the mystical attributes of our beautiful, unlaid (oops!) ghosts.... You do lovelorn just soooooooooooooooooo well. And it is always so fitting that your loves are always lost and found close to the sea and its shores. You are an epic lover of time and space who sails the oceans in perpetuity in search of The One. Blessed is she! :)) xoxoxox

Felix as always enjoyed your offering here.
Loved this~ heart gripping to me.
Additionally, filled with a wonderful reminiscient spirit.
The contents portrays powerful imageries and the pondering of emotions are also apparent and appreciated.

lost love is never easy to deal with ... we second-guess ourselves a million times over, to no avail or compensation ... the powerful emotions in this poem express its agony and heartbreak quite effectively ...

How very pretty this is. It does not make me sad though, because it reads as one who has accepted the loss and is answering his own quaetions.

Felix,
You know the sadness in this truly overtook me a bit. I think there comes a time in all our lives when we 'cry teardrops over daisies'.
That is priceless and I thank you for the imagery.
