Sometimes dreams are precursers to the world to come, I hope this is not one of them...

 The Boulevard of Sinners

By Felix L. Perry

I stroll the boulevards of soul

with the cold winds from behind

seeking shelter in the shadows

of my cracked and broken mind

where the fantasies of yesterday

challenge the monsters of today

the heroes all ride white horses

on the black steed I must stay

sold my heart for magic beans

following a faded dated map

boulevards alive with sinners

and I can’t find my halo cap

a trumpeter is playing dirges

all the saint go marching in

I seek shelter in the shadows

I know not where I’ve been!

Just place your trust in God fee, let me tell you something ok. every night I put a piece of silicon in my mouth, ( a splint) stops obstructive sleep apneoa, all i can do is trust that I wake up in the morning...I often have dreams of not being able to breathe, thats my subconcious waking me up, coz basically...Im not!!
Only happens when i roll onto my back..so you n me mate, gotta trust the giver of life.
Hugs to you and may your dreams be sweet.

this dreamscape Felix, probes into the wandering momentum of your thoughts trying to find a way back to their elusive origin ... a dream scene brought to life by your skillful quill ...

Really enjoyed reading this Felix. First time I've come across your work and it makes me want to come back for more. Like CJ says below...it feels like there is more to come from this haunting write and I care about where this soul ends up!

Your poetry is taking a turn and it's inviting to see your creative side take this turn. Where ever you choose to be is okay with me. I'll always keep reading you Fee.

It is a good view of this dream vision the trueness will be even more cruciable in the end. Well done Fee!

Dream or not, Fee, this is wonderful! This makes me want to read more, like a story. I do wish you would make it into a story! Again, it's wonderful.

Yes indeed very thought provoking.
Hmmm, Felix guess you should find your halo cap.
Take care and thank you sincerely for your support.
