The Grasp of Censured Soul
hide not your weary, troubled soul
in the dark confines of the mind
linger not in the shadowed zone
some things are better left behind
hasten round the raven’s amulet
cast thy measured runes in life
heathen chains and religious thought
were scraped on knowledge knives
speak up, no censured thought deny
the right to speak your own true heart
stagnant thought breeds stagnant minds
insight provokes, civility shall depart
ah but mortal I alone doth cry
too much for what worth it be
my mere soul locked in free will’s grasp
sweet time’s descent alone to set it free

Love the rhythm of the rhyme and your choice of words.
Whew! In speaking your "own true heart," you transport us to medieval times! I can't say I understand all you are saying, but your skill with speech patterns of another day is commendable.
love,
Susan
A Celtic feel to this one, yet with a religious overtone, excellently penned.
