I once loved like forever

Was a true guarantee

Tears cried like a baby

When that love set me free

I’ve had fame for a moment

But also sank in obscurity

I smiled for the cameras

Then paid for my vanity

I made mistakes as a father

I wish I could take back

Now though I think as Poppy

That I‘m on the right track

I’ve lived and I’ve loved

I’ve lied and I’ve sinned

Soared with the eagles

Then had to quickly descend

Now the years have flown by

I can see the far away land

Where someday I will travel

When the spirits take my hand

Now the words in my heart

Express the life that I had

It’s been a ride to remember

Both all the good and the bad!
