Life, death and music seem to naturally coexist...

Yea Though I Walk Through The Shadows Of Death…

Felix L. Perry

Born: February 18,1954

Died: To be announced

I stumble frightened through the dark

shadowed corridors of my mind

tripping over forgotten unpaid sins

that I thought I left somewhere behind

I hear the demons and devils call me

to join the marching legions of the lost

John Lennon’s there and in perfect key

he sings his song oh LET IT BE…

Running Helter Skelter down a memory

impersonating time’s pregnant regret

eyes seeing only what I seek to see

hoping somehow She’ll  merciful forget

staring off through bloodshot eyes

ALL ALONG Bob Dylan’s WATCHTOWER

are the gargoyles dripping bloody wet

from the nobles command ripe with power

O’er the mountains and the valleys

blindly seeking what I know I lost

tstumbling like a beggar in a mansion

with no idea what’s my fate will cost

but near the statues all in marble

where the air is laced with killing frost

'neath my chiselled name and numbers

in a too fine filigree of spider’s lace

I stop to rest and hear the Angels singing

their sweet song...

AMAZING GRACE

No greater song to pen with death than Amazing Grace -- so glad that death has no sting for those who have taken the free gift of grace and allowed God to pay the debt. Well Done! Deborah

Hi Fee, amazing walk through future time. How will we know?
In Bluegrass circles the most requested is "How great thou art"
although Amazing Grace gets lots of plays. Great write. s/henry
