The following poem although dark and a little intense is not any kind of direct politcal or religious referenece, it is just the poet's own bleak vision of the world of the future...

The Call to Arms

By: Fee

Load your rifles store your canned goods

Load up bottled water and batteries too

Wood to barricade your doors and windows

First aid supplies and salt meat to chew

Arm your sons and arm your daughters

With the holy cross and mighty sword

Raise old glory’s flag and play the anthem

All praise now the Masters’s final word

Come the big “A” horsemen at full gallop

Revelation’s freaked out nightscape in 3D

Anarchy will rule and crush asunder

All who will not rise  from bended knee

Hearts that  were once warm and tender

Now bloodied will temper hard as cold steel

And the meek shall rise up to fight the evil

As MGM Grande will tape it reel to reel

Until the angels sing and the demons whimper

All hail the path of the righteous one

Bear well the right to arm for your freedom

Ever vigilant beneath the darkening sun

In the distance beats the drummer’s cadence

As the forlorn piper plays one last farewell

Beside the baby wrapped in swaddling rags

As the snowflakes at Christmas fell…

Some images here I hope will never come to pass. I think we've all wondered about worst case scenarios. A fantastic write, Fee.

This subject matter seems to make your writing talents really shine. The power of the message and the level of your skill combine to make this very publishable (hint hint. Excellent.

Excellent write Fee. And the future is closer than many want to believe if Obama (Bin Laden) takes the helm in the U.S. Sad times we are living in today. Well done my friend.

And we should be hearing Taps from a lonely bagpiper up the hill on the stones garden.
Not a dark poem, a sincere one.
