My mind often tends to meander when I see certain pictures or graphics and this is one such image.(sorry artist unknown)

I Have Loved an Angel

By: Fee

 

I hear dawn echo just a heartbeat away

Your voice fails nothing left to say

As our fallen grace fades slowly into day

My sweet angel for my soul I hear thee pray

 

Beneath those mirrored arches of the sky

That must reflect our will to do or die

If you have sinned than so too have I

But I’ll not bow my head in shame and cry

 

For if loving you is wrong than what is right

Two hearts as one light up the very night

Our souls, our bodies, sweet phrases left unsaid

Come now sweet one to seek what lies ahead

 

Now lift up thy face to kiss love's sweet taste

My arms to always wrap around your waist

To stroke the wings that once soared so very high

I’ll love you till once more until someday you need to once more fly…

This is such a beautiful poem, really touches the heart, and sometimes when the heart is touched, the wings don't have to fly so far again. The love shown in this could make any angel feel as though her feet will never touch the ground again, so who needs wings, lolol??? Love it.

Ahhh... this makes me ACHE and BREAK inside, darlin Pops. The emotion is so pure, so true and this makes the articulation and flow so naturally rhythmic and gently rocking, like a lullaby. You have crafted this beautifully, but with feeling that runs so strong, somehow this poem has the air of one that has written itself. It's amazing how much is instinctive this way. Those middle two stanzas are to die for... One of your very best in K8s Book of Gr8s. Thank you xx

Fee, I think that this one sounds like a song. Third stanza, I think it should be "then". I think... but I have a headache and it makes it hard for me to concentrate! :)

That picture is one wicked looking angel....but in the essence of your poem love reaches to embrace the goodness & I like the gothic & vamping feel to it. Like the angels of darkness need love too, and they do....You verses float within rhymes of emotion...
